The Graduate Trainee scheme offered by the NFU is a fantastic opportunity to build on your existing knowledge, work with and learn from industry specialists and join an organisation with over one hundred years’ experience of farming and rural issues.

We will develop your knowledge of the NFU, the agriculture and horticulture industries and the issues facing our members, by offering you a comprehensive and purpose built programme which includes working in a variety of departments, such as Policy, Food and Farming and NFU’s Regional Offices.

Two year fixed term contract commencing September 2017

Person requirements

Qualifications and experience requirements

The successful candidates will have a 2:1 degree or above and have excellent team working, problem solving, communication and planning skills. The desire to represent and help our members and progress within the NFU are essential requirements, and knowledge of the agricultural industry or a background in farming would be a distinct advantage.

A one off graduate entry scheme payment of £1,000

Please note that this role requires working in various locations throughout the UK, therefore a flexible approach to location is essential. We would also look for successful candidates to hold a full driving licence.
