Business Graduate Scheme

Job description

If you’re ready to turn your ambition into a fulfilling career, look no further. Here at NFU Mutual, we’re passionate about developing individuals who can help shape our future. That’s why if you join one of our Business Graduate Schemes, you’ll be empowered and supported to own and grow your career in the direction you choose. Within Business you have the opportunity to specialise in one of three different areas; customer service, pricing (data analyst) and HR.

What does the Scheme offer?

You’ll get exposure to all areas of the business and gain hands-on practical experience in whichever area you choose. Our Pricing Data Analyst Scheme offers the chance to assist with the company’s data driven culture and support strategic decisions with a range of reporting and analytics. Within HR, you’ll rotate through the various areas of the division and be involved in delivering projects which will enable real business benefit. If you join our Customer Service Scheme you’ll explore a series of placements across the Customer Service’s Division and get to experience life in one of our regional offices.

What’s in it for you?

We firmly believe that being actively involved in projects, and shadowing others, helps you to learn and develop faster. We’ll give you everything you need to shape your career and you’ll be supported every step of the way, with a dedicated coach and mentor on hand to guide you. Your professional development is important to us, so we’ll help you work towards a range of relevant qualifications, whether that’s CII Certificate in Insurance, PRINCE2 Practitioner (Project Management) or similar. We will make sure the qualification you undertake is relevant to the Scheme you’re joining us on.

As well as a generous salary, you’ll also benefit from a contributory pension scheme, company performance related bonus, and 25 days’ holiday.

What we are looking for

For both the HR and Customer Service Schemes you’ll need a good degree (minimum 2:2 in any subject). For the Pricing Data Analyst Scheme, you’ll have a minimum 2:1 degree or post-graduate qualification in a relevant subject (mathematics, statistics, the sciences, engineering or relevant experience). You’ll have an enthusiastic, positive nature and a proactive attitude. You’re self-motivated and always keen to learn, so you’ll get stuck in to every challenge. With good time management skills, you’ll always be organised and able to handle the opportunities that come your way. You’ll be great with people, ready to collaborate across different teams and build strong working relationships at every level.
