Having won the Gallup Great Workplace Award for a fourth consecutive year in 2019, we are justifiably proud to be one of only 40 companies across the globe to receive this prestigious accolade. As a billion-pound business and award-winning provider of general insurance and financial services, with a UK network of over 300 local agencies and seven regional offices, we really can lay claim to being a great place to work and a genuine destination of choice for ambitious graduates.
Head office based and undertaking a tailored 3-year programme, our HR Graduate scheme is a real investment in you. It is an exciting opportunity, offering a practical mix of hands-on involvement and project-based work, that will enable you to grow in a structured development environment and learn how we deliver real business benefits. Assigned your own personal coach/mentor and rotating through various areas of the HR function, our aim is to give you real breadth and depth, plus early and increasing responsibility, ensuring you are fully equipped to make the most of the different specialisms covered across this wide ranging sphere of operations.
There is more to joining NFU Mutual than just the salary and benefits – good as they are! Instead we would like you to focus on the bigger picture, including the personal development opportunities on offer and the professional qualifications you will gain along the way (in your case PRINCE2 Practitioner or CII Certificate and a relevant HR discipline). Rest assured, today’s graduates will form our next generation of leaders, who will help shape the future of our award winning, billion-pound organisation. And as such, they are highly visible within the business, enjoying widespread exposure and plenty of interaction with senior management, whilst being given all the tools needed to succeed – you get the picture?
What we are looking for
Commercially aware and with a genuine desire to develop and progress, you will relish the chance to work in a collaborative environment, both independently and as a part of a team, where everyone plays a part. An excellent communicator and relationship builder, who is highly self-motivated and able to work within tight deadlines, we will be looking for a history of good academic performance, culminating in a minimum 2:2 degree in any subject area. However, more importantly, we are seeking a positive attitude, the drive to add value and someone who genuinely wants to challenge themselves to be the best they can be.
