The NSG Group is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of glass and glazing systems in three business areas: Architectural, Automotive and Technical Glass.
Founded in 1918, NSG acquired the leading UK-based glass manufacturer Pilkington Plc in June 2006. Today, the company has combined sales of just over JPY 629 billion, with manufacturing operations in 28 countries, sales in 130 countries and employs some 27,000 people worldwide.
Our mission is to be the global leader in innovative high performance glass and glazing solutions, working safely and ethically.
The worldwide Group Information Systems (Group IS) team is responsible for the delivery and support of all information system services across the NSG Group.
It promotes and delivers high quality and cost-effective information systems and services to meet the needs, objectives and strategies of the group as a whole and those of individual business units. Support is provided to a wide range of activities, from large manufacturing locations to small distribution outlets.
The job holder must be a self-starter and be able to communicate and work in an international team. This requires someone who can work with minimum direction and can learn how NSG systems operate. The person must also be able to empathise with system users.
The job holder must be prepared to undertake some overseas travel. A full UK driving licence and car ownership would be an advantage due to limited public transport to the site.
