CIO Governance Analyst

Job description

Guide us through an important period of change.

At OMW, we pride ourselves on pushing the wealth management sector to constantly improve on its capabilities. Where we lead, others follow. As such, we are now developing a new Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) function, which will allow us to make bold IT, information and change decisions across the entirety of OMW. As a key member of this small specialist team, you will implement and oversee risk management processes for key areas including (but not limited to) risk appetite reporting, RCSA processes and status reporting and partnering with 2nd line risk. Working with members of the wider OMW team to enhance their understanding of control change and risk management, you will champion a culture change to ensure we are continually improving in all areas. You will also take responsibility for our governance processes and audit, controls and risk reporting.

This is an exciting time to join us, particularly as we are looking for someone who will embrace the changes we are implementing and help others through this period. As such, you won’t be afraid to challenge the status quo, guiding your colleagues to help them embrace this transformation.

We enjoy a supportive and dynamic working environment, where analytical skills are welcomed and innovation is expected. If you’d enjoy working in this progressive team, then we’d be delighted to receive your application.

What we are looking for

Qualified to degree-level (2:1 or above), you will ideally have some experience in governance/GRC, audit/assurance, management information and reporting or the financial services sector. For the latter, it would be an added bonus if this experience was specifically in IT, client services and change or project management.

Crucially, you will be a self-motivated team-player with the ambition and drive to help us implement this important initiative, plus the communication and persuasion skills needed to deliver your expert advice and explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience.

You will also have the capacity to manage stakeholders, and we will expect you to have considerable project management skills.
