Are you an aspiring Primary Teacher committed to inspiring and educating young minds for years to come?
Train to teach, pay no tuition fees and gain a PGCE and QTS with the University of Buckingham. Premier Pathways is a Graduate Teacher Training Programme which enables trainees to earn while they learn steadily over two years.
Why two years?
We know that spending a full two years in a one-school environment acquiring practical classroom experience, will enable you to grow at your own pace into an outstanding and capable practitioner. Year one allows you to familiarise yourself with your school, pupils and the teaching profession, within a teaching support role. Throughout the year you will participate in termly tasks and progress steadily towards greater teaching responsibility, to teach a 50% timetable in term three. In year two, you will embark on your journey towards Qualified Teacher Status whilst developing pedagogical knowledge through three written PGCE assignments.
Earn a salary – pay no tuition fees
We believe that teachers should not have to pay to train. The average undergraduate in the UK will graduate with over £50,000 worth of debt. Premier Pathways enables aspiring teachers to train whilst earning a salary, with no tuition fees. You will be paid from day one of the programme and will receive an additional pay rise in year two.
Rising pupil demands
The UK needs 30,000 new teachers by 2023 to cope with increasing pupil numbers. In September 2019 the Department for Education announced that new teacher salaries could rise by up to £6,000 in a bid to attract more talent into the profession. There has never been a better time to get into teaching.
Why Premier Pathways?
- No tuition fees
- PGCE (with 60 Level 7 credits)
- Maximum classroom time
