Premier Pathways is an innovative two-year teacher training programme designed for graduates who are wanting steady, salaried and comprehensive route into education. We know that two full years in a school will enable you to become a confident teacher, and coupled with our strong support network of tutors and mentors, you will emerge as an outstanding, capable practitioner.

What do the two years look like?
Throughout the two-years, you will be based in one school full-time, all formal training and induction days will take place during the school holidays, giving you the opportunity to meet your peers and allow optimal study time away from school. The programme ensures that you can train and earn a salary at the same time, you are paid from day one and you will receive an additional increase in year two.
In year one you will find your feet in a new environment and begin to develop your teaching ability as you embark on a level three Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship. In the final term you will take on more responsibility with students, you will begin to work towards a teaching timetable (up to 50%) preparing you for year two.
Year two is the official teacher training year. You will be teaching up to an 80% timetable alongside evidencing the teaching standards to move you towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). In addition, you will undertake the University of Buckingham PGCE by completing three written assignments.

What we are looking for
Premier Pathways is for talented people seeking to forge a career in the teaching profession. You must demonstrate a serious commitment to the profession and have the ability to self-study.
If you hold a good degree from a leading university, GCSE English, and maths at least a grade C (and science for primary) and a minimum of three A-Levels.
