Job description
You would be joining a brand new team with a number of new graduate-level starters, so it is an exciting time to join the marketing team at the business. The aim of this role is to identify opportunities for Digital Marketing campaign trials and manage their performance to maintain a de-risked portfolio and maximise Return on Spend. While you would be partly responsible for the day-to-day marketing function of the business, your primary focus would be on researching and analysing new opportunities to inform future strategy. You would report to the Head of Client Acquisition. Day to day tasks may include:
- Building successful digital marketing campaign trials from scratch, including engaging ad copy and creative
- Relevant audience targeting in campaigns and appropriate keyword analysis
- Conducting daily competitor analysis and industry research
- Identifying opportunities for new trials and ensuring we are always one step ahead of the competition
- Monitoring performance of trials, deploying appropriate management techniques based on your thorough and detailed analysis of performance metrics
- Maximising the performance of your trials in line with key performance indicators for the business, delivering high-quality leads and optimising return on spend
- Establishing a strong relationship with other members of the Digital Marketing team and the wider business
- Keeping the business up to date with the performance of your trials and opportunities you may discover
- Building a detailed knowledge of how the business operates and the customer journey
- Manage a monthly budget ensuring efficient spend and avoiding over or under-spending

What we are looking for
- Data driven and have the ability to spot trends and patterns
- Able to show examples of copywriting for a specific audience or in advertising
- A passion for the digital marketing industry and show a genuine interest in how their work will impact the business
- Make decisions based on evidence and statistics
- A poositive, can-do attitude towards work and be able to work in a team.
- Knowledge of popular platforms (e.g. Adwords, Bing ads, Facebook Business Manager etc.)
- Knowledge of different bid strategies and campaign optimization techniques
- Strong reporting skills and ability to communicate results with non-technical audiences
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Ability to use Excel.
- Work experience completed at a digital marketing agency or similar environment
- Ability to design creatives for campaigns using the Adobe Creative Cloud suite
- Experience using pivot tables and lookup functions would be advantageous but not essential
