Junior Research Analyst

Job description

You’ll be reviewing a range of companies in the PV, EV and power electronics industries and growing your own knowledge in this area. The company is keen to invest in graduates and has an established growth path for graduates through the research discipline or sideways into operations / leadership. Typical activities in the role will include:

  • Digging for information in hard-to-reach places - researching company reports, production capacity, shipments and technology developments for key players in the industry
  • Analysing and understanding new technologies and manufacturing developments
  • Taking the information and developing detailed models in Excel / other programmes
  • Interpreting it and developing valuable insights
  • Visualising and presenting the findings to clients in clear, concise reports to help them understand future technologies and trends

They are looking for curious, passionate and hardworking graduates to join their team as they expand into more sectors within the decarbonisation and electrification world.

What we are looking for

  • Able to demonstrate a proven interest in renewable energy and/or electric transportation
  • Show curiosity and an eagerness to learn about and challenge the way of working
  • An independent worker, who is proactive and engaged with day to day tasks
  • Excellent written English, with a sharp eye for detail
  • Demonstrable IT/database skills, including Excel proficiency
  • Personable and able to build relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Keen to travel internationally
The following would be a bonus, but don’t be put off if not
  • Previous experience in data visualisation

Qualifications

A graduate of any degree discipline, but graduates from an engineering or physics background are particularly encouraged to apply
