Apprentice Fabricator

Job description

At Severfield, we’ve forged our legacy on some of the most iconic buildings in the country. From The Shard to 22 Bishopsgate, the New Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to Wimbledon No.1 Court. We build the future.

It’s development on a different scale - and that goes for your career, too.

We’re passionate about helping young people take their first step onto the construction career ladder – with the development to forge the next generation of leaders.

Whether you’re a school leaver experiencing the world of work for the first time, or a newly qualified graduate, we’re providing all the tools you need to lay the groundwork for an amazing career.

We’ve been shaping the engineers, leaders and problem solvers of the future on our apprenticeship scheme since 2010. And the range of opportunities we offer cover a variety of exciting roles that help our apprentices discover development on a bigger scale. This includes…

  • Metal Fabrication
  • Industrial Coatings Applicator
  • Digital Engineering Technician

To be successful at joining us as an apprentice you will need the following to apply to each opportunity:

Training

We created our Metal Fabrication Trailblazer Apprenticeship after spotting a gap for this particular scheme. This scheme takes our apprentices through a variety of training that’s equivalent to two A-Levels (grades A to E), with all the hands-on experience that unlocks development on a bigger scale.

Our Industrial Coatings Applicator Apprenticeship takes our apprentices onto the factory floor. You’ll learn from experienced colleagues, as well as work with a dedicated online tutor, and work towards completing a Level 2 certification and become a qualified Industrial Coatings applicator over 18 months.

The Digital Engineering Technician Apprenticeship programme will see you working over 3 years to complete a Level 3 certification, equivalent to 2 A-Levels. You’ll learn from your colleagues in the Drawing Office, alongside attending classes to build your knowledge in digital engineering.

The help of our training partners and industry representatives means our apprentices can access meaningful and in-depth training. So they can grow into the engineers of the next generation, whilst the needs of other employers like us are met, too.

What’s more, you’ll join a team of people ready to support you as you grow into your role.
