Simpson Associates are recruiting graduates who are interested in a career in consultancy. The positions are based in York and will involve building business intelligence and financial performance management applications for our customers. The roles will involve working with IBM Cognos, Board and Microsoft software to build solutions in a variety of customer situations. The roles will involve travel to customer locations.
The position will offer excellent career development opportunities, with experience across multiple customers and sectors where you will gain exposure to the entire project life cycle. There are two streams which relate to business intelligence and financial performance management. You will be expected to achieve professional certifications either through the Microsoft Certification Programme or CIMA or equivalent.

Simpson Associates Information Services was established in 1991. We design, manage, build and support Information Management applications, ranging from: financial planning and consolidation, data warehousing and business reporting, portals and collaboration solutions.

We are looking for graduates that have a keen interest in technology and business issues, with an aptitude to use software, who are self-motivated, have attention to detail, are naturally logical and analytical thinkers. We expect our graduate consultants to have excellent communication skills, be literate and committed to delivering an excellent customer service sometimes in demanding situations.
Qualifications and experience requirements
You don’t necessarily need to be a technical guru we are looking for individuals who have a keen interest in technology and business and a desire to get involved in a variety of different projects using a number of different technologies.
The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate with a 2:1 or above, looking to start a career in consultancy, having had some work place experience through employment, internships or placements. Strong software skills are also important; you must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
