What does the job involve?
As a Graduate Account Executive, you will be responsible for selling our IT products and services. You will manage accounts, get to understand clients’ needs, introduce new products, and deliver a first-class service. To begin with, your role will focus on business development: contacting prospects, targeting new accounts for Softcat, and following up marketing activity.
We’re looking for intelligent, focused people with drive, determination and the will to succeed. You should also have a university degree (2:1 degree or equivalent) and have the right to work in the UK.
You don’t need to be a technical genius, though we’ll expect you to be a very quick learner, highly organised, and able to keep up with new and emerging technologies.
Most importantly, you’ll be a clear and persuasive communicator, able to quickly build rapport with new customers and represent Softcat positively, so they’ll love our company as much as we know you will! You will also need to build strong internal relationships with colleagues and product specialists.
How much can I earn?
That’s down to you. Our commission structure is one of the best in the IT industry, and truly rewards you for your efforts. On average, new sales employees can expect to earn £25k-£30k OTE in year one, £40k in year two and a staggering £50-£60k in year three.
