South Bank Engineering UTC
The UTC is an engineering-specialist school for 14-19 year olds, offering a non-traditional education built on high academic standards. We offer learning in a technical context, making the most of close links to employer and university partners. We maintain a professional environment built on high expectations, strong relationships and mutual support and respect. This role would suit a teacher who has previously taught Resistant Materials or Product Design and is looking to move into an organisation where technology and engineering are at the heart of the school.
As a UTC, we offer GCSEs, A levels, and BTECs, with the opportunity for our students to learn valuable technical and employability skills. Our education plan ensures students are on track to make outstanding progress, reach high levels of academic attainment and develop the skills essential for career success. London South Bank University is our main sponsor and we are co-sponsored by Skanska UK, King's College NHS Trust and Guys & St Thomas' NHS Trust who support our work closely in offering real-life employer challenge projects, developing authentic, contextualised learning.
South Bank Engineering UTC is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all sectors of the community. We are committed to protecting all stakeholders of our school community and, therefore, conduct rigorous recruitment processes, including the assessment of applicants’ suitability to work with young people.
