Au Pair Gap Year Programme

Job description

Live the American dream

Experience the American lifestyle and culture first-hand, working as an au pair.

Square AuPair are seeking outgoing, friendly and capable individuals who want to spend a year being paid to live, work and study in the USA. You will become part of an American family - your host family - and earn over $10,000 helping them with child-related duties. Our programme includes:

  • Free round-trip flights to the USA
  • A comprehensive three day training programme at the au pair training school in Connecticut
  • Earnings of over $10,000 for the year
  • Accommodation and meals provided by your American host family
  • Medical insurance cover
  • Two weeks’ paid holiday
  • Up to $500 tuition allowance to study in an accredited US post-secondary institution
  • The opportunity to travel for a month around the USA at the end of the successful year-long placement

You’ll need to be a driver, aged between 18-26 and have some childcare experience. You’ll need to meet the requirements of the USA’s J-1 Visa scheme which we will discuss with you (we’ll take care of arranging the Visa).

Our Programme costs £1,250 for the year, £100 due upon registration and £1,150 payable only when you are matched with your ideal host family. We have many host families available, in a range of exciting locations across the USA.
