About St Andrews Healthcare
St Andrew's Healthcare is the UK’s largest independent provider of NHS services; a unique mental health charity aspiring to deliver truly world-class care. Our focus is transforming lives through ground breaking treatment and rehabilitation, with surpluses re-invested in our outstanding facilities. We have facilities across the UK, including Northampton, Mansfield, Birmingham and Essex. Most are secure facilities – but we're about engagement as oppose to containment.
We've introduced Integrated Practice Units (IPUs) as the vehicle to deliver ‘Value Based Healthcare’. Patients consistently get the best possible outcomes and local teams gain more control and responsibility. IPU’s are all about providing patient-centered care, but they also provide nurses with the opportunity to learn from experts in specific fields - and in turn to become experts in their own right.
In response to the growing need for CAMHS facilities, we opened FitzRoy House in January 2017 - a specialist child and adolescent mental health services inpatient hospital in Northampton. It provides flexible, award-winning person-centered care for approximately 100 young people under one roof. Facilities include pet therapy and horticulture courtyards, family visiting suites, music room, multi-gym, activity hall, sensory room, café and much more within 140 acres of beautiful grounds, close to Northampton town centre.
As well as outstanding facilities, a St Andrew's nurse can expect their salaries to progress as they complete their Preceptorship and take advantage of our excellent training and opportunities for advancement through our Nursing Career Pathway.
If you're a qualified mental health or learning disabilities nurse - or qualifying this year - there's no better place to start your career.
