Graduate Assistant

Job description

From September 2018, St John’s School is looking to employ an exceptional graduate with a good degree in any discipline. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in an educational setting by contributing fully to the sporting and co-curricular programme of a leading co-educational independent school in the south east of England. There is also the prospect of getting involved in other aspects of school life for those who are considering a career in teaching and/or wish to take full advantage of the opportunity. There is a possibility to develop into a teaching fellow role for the right candidate.

Lunch is provided during term time and accommodation may be available.

Fixed term contract: September 2018 - June 2019.

What we are looking for

Ideally the candidate will have coaching or playing experience in a variety of sports including rugby, football and cricket, but those who excel in one sport will still be considered. Enthusiasm, flexibility, a positive approach to all games, the ability to work as part of a team, and a willingness to participate fully in a busy and thriving School are essential, as is a sense of humour.
