Stagecoach UK Bus
graduate scheme

Graduate Leadership Programme

Job description

Fancy starting your graduate career in a market-leading FTSE business?

What if we told you that we can develop you as a future leader of a £1.8bn turnover, 25,000 employee business? Sounds good, right?

The Stagecoach Graduate Leadership Programme is a two-year graduate scheme, because we know that to be a great leader you’ll need really rounded experience.

That’s why you’ll have the opportunity to get stuck into our business from day one, into operations, people, finance, marketing.. the list goes on.

You’ll have real responsibility to lead a team and make commercial decisions impacting positively on our business at both local and national level.

Of course we won’t throw you in at the deep end without full support, a buddy, a mentor, great managers, internal training, external courses.. you can count on us to give you everything you’ll need. And yes, if you want to, we’ll teach you how to drive a bus.

Throughout the programme you’ll have exposure to our senior leaders including at breakfast meetings, dinners, lunch-and-learn sessions, site visits and meetings.

And at the end of the programme we’ll guarantee you a role in our business. Interestingly, five of our current MDs and 36 of our functional directors are former graduates.. and you could well be adding to this amazing tally.

About our offer
There’s 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, a contributory pension scheme and life assurance, discount on retail and leisure outlets.. and not forgetting free travel on Stagecoach buses.

What we are looking for

We’re looking for future leaders, so you’ll be a great people-person with bags of motivation and a positive attitude.

A full UK/EU driving licence by September 2020 (so if you haven’t got one there’s still time), to be legally entitled to work full-time in the UK and be ready to join one of our operating business units.

Our programme is hugely rewarding and thus, as you’d expect, challenging.. so you’ll need a good level of personal resilience and a real zest for learning.

You’ll also need a 2:2 degree or above in any discipline by September 2020.

Accepted degree subjects
