Job description

Main purpose of the job

  • Assist with the analysis, planning and implementation of systems for repeatable electronics assembly

Main responsibilities and key taks

  • Assist with the development of manufacturing processes with an emphasis on assembly and testing
  • Assist with equipment installation projects, tooling and process design
  • Assist with the analysis of new and existing customer requirements in preparation for process allocation
  • Support Manufacturing Execution System (MES) implementation
  • Create and update work instructions for implementation to MES
  • Train operators on processes and work instructions
  • Assist with the implementation of lean manufacturing principles 5S, KanBan, JIT
  • Identify and install process measurements to aid continuous improvement

Health and safety

  • Ensure that all health and safety requirements are met and that staff are provided with appropriate information, training and supervision

Person requirements

  • Influencing, facilitation and communication skills
  • Understanding of the application of CI, Lean, 6-sigma, process analysis, SPC

Qualifications and experience requirements

  • Degree qualified or more in an engineering/manufacturing discipline
  • Work experience/internship in similar role desirable
  • Business, operational and engineering experience
