Graduate Teaching Programme

Job description

  • 10-month paid full-time and part-time teaching placements in China
  • Flight reimbursement (around cost of a return flight)
  • Housing provided by the school
  • All expenses paid Beijing summer camp (to get you up to speed with teaching)

Beijing summer camp

The Beijing summer camp provides applicants with valuable all expenses paid real world teaching experience before they go to their placement school. The camp is also a good chance to get to know other applicants and form friendships before applicants go off together. During the camp applicants will have the opportunity to travel to culture sights in Beijing such as the Great wall, the temple of heaven, and tiananmen square.

Salaried placements

Paid placements are available for both full-time and part-time positions. Applicants on a part-time placement will receive at least 6,000RMB per month while applicants on the full-time placement will receive at least 15,000RMB per month. Applicants will receive free accommodation during the entire duration of their placement in China. Typical working hours for the part-time option are 10-25 hours per week while full-time hours are between 25-40 hours.


During the placement applicants will have plenty of opportunities to travel. Applicants will receive weekends off and public school holidays as standard. The most exciting part of teaching in China is the four-week winter holiday that applicants will receive. Many applicants use this time to travel to neighbouring countries like Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, South Korea, and Japan.


We give our applicants the choice of choosing between one of 19 regions across China. Applicants are free to specify certain areas or aspect of life that they are looking to experience like weather, development of a city, hours required at a school, and type of school to better satisfy the individual requirements of each of our applicants.

What we are looking for

Teaching In China can only accept native English speakers that have or will have a Bachelors degree before they arrive in China.
