Graduate Teaching Programme

Job description

Teaching in China provides an amazing opportunity to travel, learn a new skill, and build your resume portfolio. Applicants will receive 4+ weeks of Chinese new year holiday to travel to neighbouring countries (Thailand, Japan, Vietnam). Placements are paid (full-time and part-time) and are available across 19 diverse regions from primary school up to university level. This programme is run in partnership with the China Education Association for International Exchange (a not-for-profit organisation).

Programme benefits

  • 10-month paid teaching placements in China (full-time and part-time)
  • Flight reimbursement (inbound and outbound flight)
  • Community support
  • Placement selection (choose preferred location and type of school)
  • Housing provided by the school
  • 120-hour TEFL course and summer camp training (free)
  • Four-weeks paid Chinese new year holiday, normal public holidays, and weekends off
  • School bonuses

No teaching experience required

The programme has been specifically designed for applicants that have no previous teaching experience. All of our applicants will receive a free 120-hour TEFL course and summer camp. The course will get our applicants up to speed with the theory of teaching while the camp will allow our applicants to put their theory into practice with real-world classroom experience.

Community support

One of the big concerns of moving to China is the prospect of being alone in a country that's language and culture is vastly different to back home. Teaching In China has a strong emphasis on community support. Applicants are encouraged to communicate together during the entire process so that applicants can face any challenges together and make plenty of new friends before departing for China. Applicants will receive 1-to-1 mentoring on all aspects of the process from visa support, to answering any China-related questions and getting set up in China.
