Teaching In China
work experience

Graduate Teaching Programme

Still recruiting throughout COVID‑19

Job description

COVID-19 update: in-light of the on-going situation we have added a flexible start-date to the programme. Applicants can complete their TEFL course and then choose a date between September 2020 (as originally advertised) and September 2021 to arrive in China.

Experience a 10-month paid placement

Teaching in China is the perfect next step for final year students and graduates. Learn a new profession, build your resume, experience a new culture, travel, and get paid for it. Placements are available both for full-time & part-time whether you want to develop your teaching skills or are just looking for a new travel experience.

Programme perks:

  • Paid teaching placement (full-time and part-time)
  • Free accommodation (standard option)
  • Flight reimbursement (return flight)
  • Free 120-hour TEFL course and summer camp (Including accommodation and food)
  • Full visa application support
  • School holiday schedule (four-week Chinese new year holiday, weekends, and other public holidays)
Paid Chinese new year holiday (four weeks)
Receive a generous holiday from your placement school (average around four weeks). Collect those passport stamps and visit neighbouring countries in South-east Asia for a dry and hot winter (30c + with almost zero rainfall) or Japan and Korea for a snow-filled winter.
Alternatively, stay in China and experience the Chinese New Year festive period first hand in the cultural hubs such as Beijing (the choice is yours!).

Community support
One of the biggest concerns expressed among teachers that move to China is the prospect of being alone in a country that’s language and culture is vastly different from your own. Teaching In China has a strong emphasis on community support. Applicants will face any application hurdles together throughout the application process. Applicants will receive one-to-one mentoring on all aspects of the process from visa support to answering China-related questions and arriving in China.
August and October 2020 start dates.
