Job description

The Fewer Things is looking for outgoing, motivated and passionate individuals to join our ‘Teach English in China’ programme and escape the 9-5 life, you will receive a great salary, paid vacation time and get a taste of what it is like to work and travel for a living.

  • English teacher at a kindergarten, school, college or university

Beijing Summer Camp
Absolutely no teaching experience is required - you will enjoy a two weeks summer camp in Beijing where you will gain valuable teaching experience and see some historical sights before your teaching placement starts.

We have various locations to choose from in China and we will recommend cities based on your requirements and what you want to gain from this opportunity. Our four main cities are: Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Jinan. If you have a city you really want to be in, please include this in your application.

We have ensured all part time placements receive a minimum of 6000RMB per month along with free accommodation for the entire stay in China. All full-time applicants will receive a minimum salary of 15000RMB per month (not including accommodation) with a semester bonus and transportation allowance. Typical hours for part time are 15-30 hours and full time 25-40 hours (including office hours).

The best part of the experience is the travelling time, you will have the chance to visit many of China’s wonders and travel to neighbouring countries such as Japan, Thailand, Vietnam and many more. We have ensured you make enough money to save, spend and travel as much as you want.

As well as our teaching placement you will receive mentoring on how you could make the move to working and travelling for a living in something that you are passionate about.

What we are looking for

We can only accept passport holders from UK, USA, Canada, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand and people who do not hold a criminal record.

Teaching experience not required


The Fewer Things can only accept people who have a minimum Bachelors degree certificate or will have a degree certificate before they arrive in China.
