Merchandising & Buying European Placement Programme

Job description

Open to discovering a new way?
Become the force behind buying and selling all of our great products out in the market.

Our Merchandising & Buying placement Programme
On this exciting 12-month placement, you’ll gain experience of both Merchandising & Buying to fully understand how your work impacts our results and how key the partnership between the two truly is. You will also see how our entrepreneurial approach delivers exceptional value to our customers both online and in store.

You’ll start with a comprehensive induction that combines classroom learning with store visits, team meetings and workshops. With the support of a huge network including your manager, mentor and buddy, you’ll start to develop the relationship skills and technical know-how of our people.

Then you’ll put what you’ve learned into practice. Your time will be spent in Merchandising as an Allocation Analyst driving sales by analysing sales patterns, anticipating trends and spotting opportunities and risks in partnership with Merchandisers and Buyers. You’ll also have opportunities to spend time in the market with experienced Buyers discovering how we source, plan and buy every day of the year. You will have real impact, ownership, accountability and the opportunity to work in a fun, fast paced exciting environment.

The experience you’ll gain
Ultimately, you’re not only looking to start your career. You’re looking for an unforgettable journey. You want to be part of something huge. Something global. A 12-month Merchandising & Buying placement with TJX Europe is where it can all begin.

By the end of the year, you’ll take away unforgettable experiences – and be ready for an amazing career. If you really impress, you might even land a place on our European Graduate Scheme.

  • Flexibility, able to thrive in a constantly changing environment where decisions happen quickly

Alongside the requirements listed above, if you have European language skills - particularly business level German or Italian – that would be great. And if you’ve lived and worked in mainland Europe, even better. In a business like ours, these are great assets to have.
