Job description
Our Architecture Apprenticeship scheme is tailor made to support you and your ongoing development. Joining us with an Architect’s Registration Board (ARB) prescribed Part 1 qualification (or equivalent), you’ll work towards part two and three of a postgraduate level qualification in architecture. As part of your four-year development programme, you’ll take part in a wide range of projects, rotating between a number of different placements with the goal of gaining the skills and experience you’ll need for a successful career. You’ll get the chance to find what you’re passionate about, and be supported every step of the way by our experienced teams. Some of the practical tasks you’re likely to work on are:
- On-site works on major projects
- Preparation of feasibility reports
- Design work associated with infrastructure projects
- Preparations of detailed design packages
- Developer lead third-party schemes (working with external architectural practices)
- Refurbishment schemes being undertaken by our maintenance teams
- Working in a multi-disciplinary team to deliver infrastructure projects with other engineering disciplines in TfL Engineering
