Fast growing and investing over £1.2bn in the development of a network of advanced Energy Recovery Facilities (ERF) across the UK, we’re reducing the reliance on landfill or exporting waste for treatment whilst becoming a revenue generating business.
As our new Graduate ERF Engineer joining our teams in the ERFs, you’ll provide technical support and analysis. Working closely alongside other disciplines in the ERF business (operations and engineering), you’ll help identify issues and challenges in relation to quality, design, installation or operation, which have an impact on the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of an ERF and work towards solutions. This is an innovative environment that requires innovative ways of thinking.
You'll also be undertaking data collection, project planning, IT and administrative work in in support of the ERF in specified projects.

The Graduate ERF Engineer will report to the Head of Performance Improvement supporting the continuous improvement approach to the business.
The Graduate ERF Engineer will be based at one of the following locations including Ardley, Trident Park, Runcorn, Dunbar, Glasgow, Avonmouth, Beddington with travel between the different sites. You may be required to relocate in line with the business requirement at the time of appointment.

What we are looking for
A team player with strong relationship building skills and an ability to liaise at all levels. You’ll also have strong organisational and analytical skills, a ‘can do’ attitude and be able to communicate information and new ideas effectively, thinking innovatively to resolve potential problems.
Experience or knowledge of the waste industry or environmental services is desirable but not expected.
- A full UK driving licence
- Good attention to detail and adaptable approach are key
You’ll have a relevant degree, such as electrical engineering.
