Graduate Management Trainee Scheme

Job description

As a graduate joining us on the Graduate Management Trainee Scheme (MTS), you’ll be degree qualified and looking to develop your skills, knowledge and experience required for a substantive role in operations, engineering, projects, performance improvement or business in one of our functions, and ultimately management and leadership. These can include, but are not excusive to, our energy recovery facilities, treatment facilities, recycling and landfill facilities, logistics and our central functions.

In our two-year MTS programme, you’ll complete four six-month placements across the business building your experience and skills. We’ll also ensure that you benefit from training courses and seminars that develop your skills and capabilities further with a view to placing you in a mutually beneficial role after your programme.

During all placements, in all business areas, you will actively input and assist with all relevant responsibilities and activities and be welcomed as a full member of the teams.

The Graduate Management Trainee will be based across the UK in line with placements, which may mean temporary relocation. UK travel is necessary through all roles and therefore a full UK driving license is essential.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our fast-growing business and be a part of how we’re shaping the future.

What we are looking for

A qualified graduate, looking to develop your understanding and experience in business and knowledge of the waste management/water industries and your management capabilities. You’ll be adaptable and have strong relationship building skills as you will be liaising with stakeholders across the business at all levels; you’ll also be highly motivated with good communication, organisational, numeracy and literacy skills.

Whilst we don’t expect full knowledge or experience in the water, recycling and waste management industries, an understanding or awareness would be beneficial and desirable.
