Following the huge success of our inaugural Data Science Programme in 2019, we are now recruiting for the Welsh Data Science & Analytics Graduate Programme starting in September 2020. Our existing graduates have set a high bar – and our employer consortium continue to be impressed by the calibre of talent on the programme.
This programme was built upon the successful Welsh Financial Services Programme, which has recruited over 155 graduates to date and enabled 98% of graduates to secure permanent roles in their chosen career path and preferred employer within the consortium.
This two-year unique Programme offers a distinct opportunity to sample a range of different career paths that use data science and analytics to research and enhance business performance, along with customer experience and outcomes.
Successful graduates will participate in a two-year, structured programme of work experience and academia, rotating across three leading employers in varying financial services and data science job roles. The exposure to business and real time projects is tremendous, and they experience a steep learning curve during their time on the programme. The employers are supporting the GP-team throughout the graduates two-year journey, making sure their skills and knowledge are challenged and channelled n a healthy, developing and a rewarding way. 95% of our graduate’s secure permanent roles by the end of the Programme.
We work with employers with an open, inclusive and welcoming culture. The participating employers include corporates such as Admiral Group, Atradius, Centrica, Confused.com, LexisNexis, PricewaterhouseCoopers Principality Building Society, Vauxhall Finance, and high growth, small to medium sized businesses including Optimum Credit, Hodge Bank, Talent Ticker and Amber Energy.
Building upon the impressive results so far, we are looking for outstanding graduates who are looking to gain an accelerated experience, working with organisations with varying stages of data science maturity, contributing to real world projects combined with academic excellence.
Matchless employment experience at your fingertips
We all know that demonstrating work experience can be a challenge for graduates. The two-year, rotational programme provides huge opportunities to lead on interesting and business critical work. You’ll experience three rotations within the top, financial and professional technology services companies in South Wales.
We are passionate about diversity and our programme is inclusive. Everyone is welcome to apply for this exceptional experience.
Academia and employment experience aligned
We have developed strong links and act as the conduit between universities and employers ensuring that the programme continuously improves. It’s important to us that your academic learning is brought to life through placements and work-based projects, so we are constantly aligning your needs with evolving data technology.
Next level emotional intelligence as a by-product
Unlike other programmes you will be thriving within ‘multiple’ businesses, bringing your learning to life, experiencing different cultures, leadership styles, engagement, communications, systems and sharing in successful initiatives.
