Job description

Which? rigorously test the products you need so that we can tell you which you should choose - or avoid. Our 800,000+ subscribers depend on us. We need you to give them the unbiased information so that they can choose the right products the first time.

What you'll be doing
You’ll design and commission robust research with external laboratories for a range of consumer products. This means that you’ll need to be switched on and will really understand what consumers want to know - for example, will the battery in that new mobile phone last through the day?

You’ll have an eye for a great story. Working with technical data you’ll draw out what the information is saying and what consumers would be interested in. You will then use your writing skills to deliver content for our magazine and website including features, product reviews and news stories.

Person requirements

You’ll have a good mix of project management skills, a passion for writing and an understanding of research methodologies.

It could be that your studies have given you a strong foundation in running research and explaining your results or that you’ve studied journalism and have also got some experience working with data sets in Excel.

We’re not looking for the total package, we know it’s a big ask, and we can support you in developing the full range of skills.
