Graduate – Project Management (Education Strategy)

Job description

This is an exciting time to join Worcestershire County Council. We have big ambitions and we are looking for our future leaders to help us to achieve them. Our aim is to create a World Class Worcestershire and if you have the talent, skills, knowledge and drive, to help make this happen, then this is where you come in…

Joining our graduate scheme will give you the opportunity to put everything you have learned into action. We will support you to gain the experience of applying your education and knowledge whilst developing your leadership skills in ways which will have meaningful results for you, Worcestershire, its businesses, communities and residents

Commitment to the quality of education to the children and young people of Worcestershire is at the heart of everything we do.

Worcestershire County Council is currently working with its partners to develop a new Education and Skills Strategy for the County, establishing an evidence base from which to set joint priorities and determine the future direction of joint activity and resources. We need someone who shares our passion to help shape, develop and implement this strategy.

Working closely with the Assistant Director for Education and Skills within a small dedicated project and leadership team, you will initially co-ordinate, support and even manage a series of projects to develop the new strategy. You will then play a key role in the operationalisation of the strategy, developing clear plans and deliverables.
