Here at Serco, our Graduate Management Trainee Programme offers you an amazing launchpad for a fast-track management career within a global FTSE 250 company - as well as a unique opportunity to be directly involved in delivering better public services.

In the UK we have over 30,000 colleagues spread over 400 sites and 180 contracts – and with a business as large and geographically spread as ours we need great MI and data to help us drive better decision making. As a graduate working in our Data Reporting and Analytics Services you’ll get to experience a number of areas within the department including:

  • Corporate Reporting and Analytics
  • Contract/Business Reporting
  • Data Engineering and Product Development

From day one you will be focussing on developing your capability to lead talented teams, build customer relationships, solve complex problems and communicate effectively. You’ll receive a wide range of training, including courses in Process Improvement, People Management, Change Management, Project Management. You’ll also pick-up hands-on experience of tools such as Microsoft Synapse and Power BI as well as languages such as SQL and DAX.

With the support of your colleagues and senior managers, you’ll be given the autonomy and tools to innovate as you make a personal impact. And once you complete the programme you’ll be well prepared to take a role in which plays to your strengths and sets you up for a fantastic career.

You don’t need to hold a specific degree or grade to work on this programme – what’s more important is that you’re a team player, are able to think strategically, have a strong head for numbers, and be technically minded. You’ll also need to be a people person as you’ll be working closely business stakeholders and be presenting complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
