Strategic Project Management
Assist with providing strategic project management services for all pre contract design stages including:
- Assist in defining client brief with other team members;
- Prepare written client brief for agreement and sign off;
- Prepare project execution plan;
- Prepare project programme and maintain throughout project;
- Assist in preparation of business cases for funding led projects;
- Establish surveys requirements in consultation with design team;
- Procure and manage project surveys i.e Site investigation / Measured building survey;
- Work with the design team member throughout RIBA Stages;
- Oversee planning applications and assist with the planning process;
- Work closely with project cost managers to ensure projects remain within client budget limits;
- Preparation of tender documents and co ordination of tender information;
- Preparation of contract documents for issue to contractor (in consultation with QS);
- Liaison with legal representatives on client behalf;
- Chase actions from design teams;
- Chairing of meetings and preparation of minutes;
- Attendance at client and board meetings;
- Develop and maintain project cashflow;
- Review & approve invoices correct for payment;
Construction Project Management
Provide assistance in the post contract stages delivering projects on site. Role includes:
- Establish site setup plans with contractor;
- Communicate phasing details to client;
- Managing contractor works on site;
- Weekly progress review meetings and report preparation;
- Chase actions from design teams;
- Liaise with end user for access requirements;
- Chairing of meetings and preparation of minutes;
- Attendance at client & board meetings;
- Approving payments;
- Administering contracts – JCT / NEC3;
- Preparing payment certificates for approval;
- Contract administration;
- Preparing and issuing contract administrators instructions;
- Control flow on information to client;
- Manage procurement of fit out;
- Manage hand over and soft landing process with client;
- Maintain and update risk register on a regular basis;
What we are looking for
- Skills: MS Office, MS Project, Construction or Property related degree preferable
- Full driving licence
- DBS Check (or willing to undertake DBS Checking via Update Service)
- Experience: graduate – some relevant experience beneficial
