Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious individual with a good understanding of ICT Networks to join a successful team in providing ICT support for 1200 students and 170 staff. The successful candidate will support the Network Manager in all aspects of network management including planning, performance, efficiency and security.

This position will provide an excellent opportunity for the right person to progress their career in ICT and continue their professional development.

The role is 36 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, however, from time to time it may be necessary to work an extended day without notice should an emergency arise. It is expected that every effort is made to have the network up and functioning as soon as possible in those circumstances.

There will be an opportunity for training and a comprehensive handover period with the existing post holder.

Person requirements

The role of ICT Network Technician is essential to the smooth operation of the school and the post requires someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, high levels of professional integrity and has the ability to analyse and solve problems.

Qualifications and experience requirements

The successful candidate will preferably have some experience of assisting in the management of a large network, however, are applications from recent graduates would be very welcome.
