Job description
We’re TMW and we are looking for a confident and charismatic individual to support our strategic data and insight planners as a Junior Data Planner. We need someone who’s highly numerate and enthusiastic about data, someone who enjoys looking for answers to questions and a great problem solver.
This role will suit someone from a maths or science background and comfortable learning and using online tools to retrieve and manipulate data from several different sources. No specific prior experience of tools such as Netbase or Global Web Index is needed as, training will be given.
You’ll have the opportunity to work with a talented team of data and strategic planners, data scientists and analysts who are passionate about making a positive impact on their clients’ business. We work collaboratively to deliver strong work and you’ll play an influential role in that process.
You'll become the team’s data expert on our insight and data tools, which will see you working with all levels within the business across categories.
Please note this role is a 12 month contract or Sandwhich Placement.
Your responsibilities
- You’ll be working across all clients and new business opportunities supporting the insight team and working directly with our strategic planners.
Pulling reports and analysing the data
- Using a suite of tools including Netbase, SemRush, LUCA (an Unlimited proprietary tool) and Global Web Index to gathering data to help answer questions from the planning team such as ‘what are the key online conversation topics related to weight loss’ or ‘what are the media touchpoints for my audience’.
Insight creation
- Developing insights, such as trend analysis, and conclusions based on the data gathered to answer planners questions
General
- Keeping up to date with new feature releases within the product suite and informing the team of new data opportunities

What we are looking for
- Highly numerate and understand how data and information can be used to create insight
- Inquisitive, with proven problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical skills and experience with Excel in pivot tables
- Passion for Digital advertising
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Tech skills: Intermediate Excel, PowerPoint, would be beneficial
- Good interpersonal skills
- You’ll be passionate about what you do
- Work collaboratively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent attention to detail
- You’ll need to be a well-organised person with excellent task and time management
