Marketing & Client Service Manager

Job description

The job is to market Culture of Insight's leading edge market research and data services in and beyond the media and sports sectors, and to build and maintain friendly and supportive relationships with clients and prospects.

We have great stories to tell - for example how we designed and manage F1's new insight management platform, or built an insights app for Exterion Media which has brought them millions of pounds of incremental sales. What we need is someone to spread those stories, and explain how they are relevant to other businesses.

As we're a small company (currently two people), you'll need to be able to learn and try new things and solve problems that would be someone else's job in a "big business" role. For example - in order to be able to talk to clients about it, you'll learn the R programming language which is at the heart of our data work. You might even have to raise invoices, purchase things or make coffee when it's your turn... we don't care much about hierarchy.

The right person will be trusted to make decisions on how and where the business is marketed, spending budget where necessary but also making maximum use of "earned" and "owned" marketing opportunities.

What we are looking for

This job is for someone with enthusiasm, a positive outlook, and problem solving skills. You will bring an outward-looking perspective to a company that builds great products and services, but needs to market them more.

You'll need to be a "self-starter". That means, if you come across a problem, you're the sort of person who works out how to overcome it, not the sort of person who grinds to a halt and expects someone else to fix it.

You'll need to be very confident with software and technology, using common desktop and online tools, website editing and social media. You will also be willing to learn, possibly even bringing new skills into the company that we didn't have before.

Accepted degree subjects
