Sales Executive

Job description

We are looking for a sales executive based in South West England or Midlands. Specifically, we are looking for someone with huge energy and passion. A graduate who has a passion for being out meeting people, building relationships and growing the MOOSE following. A resilient and confident individual who loves to win, who thrive under the pressure of having to deliver ambitious sales targets. Someone who is looking to join and be the early leaders of a fast growing, lean business on a mission to become a household name. This role combines the glamour of a premium spirits brand and the grit of having to make a lot of things happen without corporate budgets and resources. Be under no illusion this is hard work, but also enormously rewarding and exhilarating.

Core responsibilities of the role

  • Accelerate growth of drinks rate of sale in our existing customers
  • Working closely with the teams in outlet, building lasting relationships, overcoming barriers and issues, educating team members, and running incentives. Being a great service provider – helping our partners sell our product.
  • Win new business – grow distribution
  • Build your network, visit independent outlets in the on trade and convert them to become MOOSE partners
  • Run events to promote MOOSE in the trade
  • Sampling and sharing the MOOSE story with consumers in the on trade. Sharing the MOOSE soul and building positive presence in the trade
  • Joining other team members at trade events and other consumer events to help get the MOOSE brand out there

A typical day in the life

You start the day in a negotiation with Harry, MOOSE founder, and the commercial manager of a large hospitality group who wants to list your latest brand variant and thrives on getting a great deal for his business, you’ll need to think on your feet and bring your experience, insights from being out in the trade. After that call you join a TEAMs call to see the next round of designs for your winter fruit editions photography with the brand manager and rest of the team. A purchase order for 300 bottles comes in from Amazon and the fulfilment guy is off sick, you head to the MOOSE unit to stack and wrap a pallet for collection at 11am. While you are there the phone goes and an event has been put in to serve MOOSE cocktails to a group of high net worths in London this evening. You are mixing drinks, selling the brand and its story while hunting for introductions to new sales opportunities. When you get home you journey plan visiting the teams of ten Cosy Club outlets in the South of England for the next two days. Where you will be winning the hearts and minds of the teams in our customers.

Training and development

Successful candidates will be given sales training, product and mixology training at the start of their employment along with ongoing training and development.

  • Resilience to be able to take knock backs and rejection in your stride and remain positive and driven in the face of them.
  • Bright and numerate, can analyse situations and draw conclusions. Most importantly you have the gumption to do something about your findings
  • Organised and has excellent attention to detail
  • Create possibilities, can dream up ambitious and bold ideas that will positively impact the company and then make them happen
  • Recognises and relishes the opportunity of being part of something big that will come with great personal commitment and sacrifice
  • Have an undergraduate degree or equivalent/similar qualifications
