Job description

C3RI at the university is seeking to appoint a post graduate for an Enhanced Mentored Associate position in collaboration with Mayflower Engineering Ltd of Sheffield. This is a great opportunity to participate in an exciting venture concerned with supporting the company's growth through the embedding of a new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) System. This will involve re-engineering the existing system by designing a new database, developing a new user interface and designing associated procedures.

Mayflower Engineering supply full turn-key engineering solutions to the steel, mining, oil and gas and rail industries worldwide with knowledge-based design, project management and specialist fabrication expertise.

If appointed, you will be based at the company offices working directly with the managing director and financial director, receiving additional mentoring support from University staff.

The Enhanced Mentored Associate role offers opportunities for extensive personal development, and represents a unique opportunity to work with the Cultural, Communication and Computing research Institute and see the real world application of knowledge. The post will provide you with valuable experience, in up to date skills, on a high profile project, and offers a real opportunity for progression.

For non-EU applicants, we are unlikely to be able to offer a certificate of sponsorship for this job (unless you are switching from a UK student visa), so you should only apply if you already have unrestricted permission to work in the UK.
