If so, Suffolk Coastal and Waveney District Councils currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Solicitor to join our Legal Services Team.

Already a progressive and successful partnership, we are in the process of combining our two authorities to create the largest District Council in the country, delivering vital services to those who need them most. You will assist our lawyers in a full range of activities including undertaking legal research, witness statements, court bundles, the drafting and negotiation of agreements and contracts, and attendance at court when required.

  • 37 hours per week
  • Fixed term contract for two years
  • Required from August / September 2018

Person requirements

Qualifications and experience requirements

You must have a 2:1 law degree or other 2:1 degree plus Common Professional Examination / Graduate Diploma in Law and completed the Legal Practice Course. We welcome applications from students graduating this year. You must have excellent interpersonal skills, creative problem solving skills and the ability to plan your workload and meet deadlines.
