Examines the principles and practice of management in the particular context of libraries and information services of all kinds. Syllabus: organisation, including organisation theory; human resource management; systems in management; finance management; collection management, or an option of schools and young peoples' librarianship.

1 three-day study school per year at Aberystwyth. Diploma at end of taught element (2 years). UK-based students gain Library Association and Institute of Information Scientists accreditation.
