A minimum of an upper 2nd-class degree is required to study for a PhD/MPhil.
Months of entry
Established in 1912, the department is one of the oldest in the country. In 1996/97 the academic staff totalled 12, comprising three professors, a senior lecturer and eight lecturers. It collaborates closely with the departments of accounting and finance, law and international politics.
