Entry requirements

BA degree in Humanities, Liberal Arts, Film, Communication, Media Studies or Fine Arts and excellent knowledge of English. Applicants must have earned a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, having earned a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or equivalent.

All students who have completed a Bachelor's degree in a language other than English must demonstrate proficiency in English language by submitting the official test scores from TOEFL (minimum scores Paper-based: 637, Computer-based: 270 and Internet-based: 110) or IELTS Academic (minimum score 7.5).

Course content

The AUR’s MA in Arts Management enables students to acquire basic skills in the fundamental areas of art management and art administration, giving them an opportunity, through the selection of elective courses and internship experience to specialize in a particular area of their interest.

Students immerse themselves in Rome and Italy’s abundance of museums and cultural resources, benefiting from AUR’s access to major artistic and cultural institutions in Europe. This degree offers the possibility to study some of the world’s most important collections and a system of patronage in the arts specific to Italy and Europe. Students have the opportunity to conduct their research and internships in arts institutions which manage some of the world’s most prestigious collections worldwide. This creates an optimal academic experience and study environment, for students’ personal and professional growth.

We recommend that U.S./Non-EU students complete their applications by the first round deadline, February 1st, to ensure both access to all scholarship opportunities and sufficient time to complete the Visa application process at your local Italian consulate.

One merit-based scholarship for 50% of the total tuition is available for the M.A. program. The annual deadline for applying is March 15th. These scholarships are available to all students who have completed their applications by February 1st (admissions decisions received by March 1st at the latest).
