About Anglia Ruskin University
You’re ready to develop the expertise, confidence and connections you need to go further in your field and stand out in the employment marketplace. Whether you’re planning to continue your studies after graduate, or coming back to education after a time away, you’ll find an ambitious and supportive postgraduate environment at ARU.
We’re committed to creating a university experience that will engage and empower you. That’s why we’re proud to have been given a silver award by the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF 2017) and have been named as one of the top 250 universities in Europe by the Times Higher Education, which reflects the high quality of teaching delivered by our talented staff.
You'll also benefit from incredible facilities at ARU, which are the result of a multi-million pound investment over the last five years. In June 2018, we won a prestigious higher education award for the quality of our learning facilities, based on student surveys. And we’re planning to invest even more in the future to make sure our students’ experiences are as valuable and impactful as possible.
We offer a range of specialisms, because it’s always been our missions to create a diverse and energetic community. You’ll learn from industry experts and have access to all the guidance and resources you’ll need to achieve your full potential.
There’s a range of ways to study, including part-time and distance learning, and a number of qualifications – as well as Masters Degrees, we have a number of MBAs, Professional Doctorates and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses on offer.
We’re split over three different campuses each offering their own unique identity and opportunities:
We’ve been bringing creativity, innovation and new perspectives to this historic city since 1858 – when our Cambridge School of Art first opened. Our friendly campus is a five-minute walk from the city centre, so you’ll have the best of Cambridge right on your doorstep.
Our Essex-based campus sits on the riverside in Chelmsford’s University and Innovation Quarter. It’s a short walk from the city’s lively city centre which is full of great places to take a break from your study. What’s more, the campus is just a 35-minute train ride away from London and Chelmsford station has great links across the county making it easily accessible both within the region and from further afield.
Our Guild House campus in Peterborough is a smaller university community specialising in health and social care courses. Here you’ll find a superb modern skills lab with state-of-the-art nursing equipment among our other facilities.
We understand that postgraduate study is a big commitment, and you want to get your finances straight before you start. That’s why we offer a range of scholarships to support you during your time with us.
In addition, the government offers a postgraduate loan of up to £10,609 for new masters students and a doctoral loan of up to £25,000 for those interested in undertaking a research degree with us. They’re not means tested and you can use the loan to help pay for course fees and living costs. You can apply for these as well as our scholarships.
You’ve worked hard to get this far, and you want to be sure postgraduate study will be worth it. Come to our next Postgraduate Open Evening and find out how we can help.
Speak to your future tutors about their own industry experience – they’re always keen to meet new students and help answer any questions you have about our postgraduate courses. You can also tour the campus, see how our facilities are designed to reflect the demands of the workplace, and get a feel for what it’s like to come and study with us.
