Course content

The MA Advanced Social Work is designed primarily to support the continuing professional development of registered social workers.

The course supports social workers in reflecting upon their roles and responsibilities as qualified practitioners within the context of current practice. Students will apply reflective reasoning to participate in and inform professional decision making in complex practice situations. Students will also work with competing knowledge and limited information and evidence to critically understand the ethical dilemmas that underpin and inform interventions promoting safe outcomes for service users and effective service delivery.

Students will be able to demonstrate their leadership through their contributions to the development of others, and through contribution to practice knowledge and their profession through research.
