Course content

You’re ready to specialise in the area of business that physically connects you to your customer. Supply chain management plays an important role in business’s operations and its success, but it can be fragile and highly influenced by external factors. Without doubt, you like a challenge, and the risk management and opportunity optimisation is what attracts you to this quick-thinking discipline. We understand you don’t want to be limited, and that’s why ARU’s Supply Chain Management MSc covers all the learning areas and skills you will need to succeed, from the first to the last step of the chain.

You know that to successfully manage supply chains you need to know a lot – about a lot. And we know what areas your learning should cover to make sure you have the perfect skills your future employers are looking for, from project management and leadership to business analysis and strategic management. We understand that you don’t want to narrow your career options down too early, which is why this course focuses on both, theoretical and practical learning.
You will find this course to be directly transferable to the real world. Throughout your time at ARU, you’ll adapt to the fast-moving pace of international supply chains, getting hands-on with our Managing Supply Chains in Practice module as well as with LINKS, our intensive supply chain simulation game. You can expect guest lecturers, networking opportunities with industry-leaders and field trips to the Jaguar plant, Amazon’s Fulfilment Centre or BMW in Germany. Accredited by the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), you can expect to leave ARU with the advance purchasing, logistics and supply chain expertise you’ll need.
One of the things student’s love most about this course is the place you study it – the Faculty of Business and Law. Home to around 6000 students from over 100 countries, it’s the perfect backdrop to your studies and a great place to build connections with like-minded people.
