Entry requirements

The minimum qualification required for admission to a postgraduate pathway is one of the following: A UK honours degree in Radiography or a professional qualification in Radiography, Medical Imaging or related discipline equivalent in breadth and depth to a UK honours degree. All students admitted to the pathway must be engaged in the MRI scanning of patients for an average of at least 18 hours per week. Applicants are required to submit a Clinical Placement Questionnaire and 2 satisfactory references as part of the admissions process. Language requirements: Applicants whose first language is not English and whose professional qualification was not taught and assessed in English will be required to demonstrate the University standard of English language (IELTS) at Level 7.0 (including written English) prior to commencement on a course. Admission to the course with non-traditional entry: non graduates may gain entry to the course by clearly demonstrating on their application that their qualifications and experience are equivalent to an honours degree. Successful applicants must sign and return the Learning Agreement as part of their conditional offer. Our published entry requirements are a guide only and our decision will be based on your overall suitability for the course as well as whether you meet the minimum entry requirements. Course content

This is the longest-running distance-learning course of its type in the world, and one of very few dedicated solely to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). It is led by a world-renowned MRI educator Catherine Westbrook and supported by a team of MRI experts.

Studying online lets you continue to work while you study – and overseas students can study MRI at a level which may not be available in their country.
