Entry requirements

A undergraduate degree, with honours, at a minimum final classification of Higher Second (2:1) in any discipline or equivalent.

Those who do not possess an honours degree with 2:1, but have a degree or degree equivalent qualification and/or appropriate work experience at a suitable level within an organisation for an appropriate length of time, will be considered; applicants may be interviewed. Qualifications from an approved professional body will also be taken into account.

By studying Applied Positive Psychology at ARU, you’ll be introduced to research and interventions around topics like positive and negative emotions, character strengths, motivation, resilience, creativity, wisdom and other conditions shown to make a difference to the lives of individuals, groups and organisations. You'll constantly test your skills and apply them to real-life situations, coming to understand which tools and strategies to use in delivering meaningful, high-impact interventions.

You’ll be able to use your new skills to shape businesses, education and communities. Our wide choice of modules means that, whether you work in coaching, business, education or health, you can tailor your studies to your career goals. Our course will also suit you if you have a BSc in psychology and want to further your knowledge.

Information for international students

Please note that this course is not suitable for international students who require a Tier 4 visa as some teaching is delivered face-to-face and the remaining via distance learning. We welcome applications for other available courses.

If English is not your first language you will be expected to demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 6.5 ( Academic level) or equivalent English Language qualification, as recognised by Anglia Ruskin University.
