Course content

he overall aim of the BA (Hons) Psychology & Sociologywith Foundation Year enables students to study two well-established fields in the social sciences. Both areas explore and study human behaviours at different levels. While psychologists focus on individuals (human behaviours), sociologists examine broader social processes, including poverty, inequality and social injustice, alongside global social processes, such as the effects of governmental policies, including neoliberalism and globalisation, upon divergent social groups. The two disciplines complement each other well, taking a micro and macro focus simultaneously and enable students to have a balanced understanding of the inter-relationship between both individuals and societal formations.
