Course content

Specialise in improving the health and wellbeing of children and families while developing your leadership and research skills, with our NMC-approved postgraduate course in Cambridge.

Take your nursing or midwifery qualifications a step further by learning to provide support for children and families at household, school and population level.

As a specialist community public health nurse, you’ll focus on preventing ill-health, improving health and wellbeing, and reducing health inequalities.

By studying at ARU, you’ll learn how to assess, identify and manage health conditions and developmental issues in 0-19 year-olds. You’ll have the opportunity to expand your responsibilities too, with our Nurse Prescribing module.

With an eye on your future career, you’ll also develop leadership skills that will help you advocate on behalf of children and families, and commission services.
