Course content

Statistical Physics, Learning and Information Theory, Signal Processing, Environmental Data Analysis, Econophysics-related concepts of modelling financial markets, bio-signal analysis such as EEG and MEG processing, microarray DNA analysis, analysis and extraction of information from the nonlinear and noise-dominated multivariate data characteristic of neurophysiological and biological systems (EEG, ECG, MEG).

Department specialisms

Current research is focused on two broad themes: Neural Computing Research and Biomedical Information Processing.

Information for international students

IELTS 6.0 (5.5 minimum in each section) or TOEFL 550 / 213 is required for applicants whose first language is not English.

Fees and funding

EU, EPSRC, BBSRC and industry (BAe, Pfizer, Cardionetics) may offer funding to UK / EU students. There are no scholarships for non-EU students.
