Course content

The programme provides a dedicated route for high-calibre students who are ready to carry out independent research leading to PhD level study or who are seeking a stand alone research based qualification.
It has been structured to provide specialist research skills in the taught element (at least 40 credits) giving students the opportunity to progress to undertake a substantial piece of independent based research at the cutting edge of the specific research area. It is the normal expectation that the independent research (120 credits) should be at a publishable standard in a high quality peer reviewed journal.

Information for international students

International students will be given individual consideration, but must be able to demonstrate English language proficiency at an IELTS score of 7.0 or above.
