Course content

This MSc consists of a taught element and a substantial research project. The lecture modules cover a broad range of scientific topics as well as transferable skills. The individual research topics may be in either applied or fundamental areas of analytical chemistry and wherever possible, projects are designed to tackle real industrial or environmental problems. The award of the Diploma is determined by the student's performance in examinations based on the lecture programme and a satisfactory project report, together with an oral examination and departmental seminar. The MSc is awarded following the examination of a dissertation based on project work.

The minimum English language IELTS requirement is 6.0 with no element below 5.5.
